Guest guest
This is just my opinion, so remember that, for what it is worth. I am very aware of the " Big Brother " aspect of our " free " country. I do not want to provide the government with my home / cell numbers or my email. For me, it is another means of tracking individuals. Since there are so many folks who ascribe to the idea that the government needs to " do something " to stop the harrassment, think about this: 1.) If you have done business with a company in the past 12 months - They are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call list. 2.) Non - Profits and charities are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call list. 3.)If you have a paid service, such as phone, cable, satellite, etc - They are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call list. 4.) If you have a credit card - They are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call list. 5.) If you have a mortgage company, they are EXEMPT from the Do Not Call list. Basically, the exemptions are so few, that it is not worth it. Caller ID and an answering machine to screen calls and occassionally I will answer and say - Place me on your do not call list. I do NOT want to recieve information about your company/products/services/etc. Do not call me again. If you do, I have legal recourse. That ususally works. Haven't had any problems yet and the government does not have my numbers or my email address. Jill Mc. Alabama Jazz up your holiday email with celebrity designs. Learn more. I promise you unlisted does not mean unfindable, if someone really wants it and it can be done quickly.
