Clear as Day Face & Body Wash.

 

Utilizing 2% Salicylic Acid and a host of other goodies, we’ve created a lovely

Foaming wash to promote clear skin on the face and body alike. Products that

can’t even hold a candle to this are retailing at discount prices of over $4 per

ounce (and that’s an 8 ounce size). Our formula contains Aloe Vera for it’s

moisturizing and soothing properties, Allantoin for cell regeneration, and the

mildest of surfactants for gentle cleansing and foaming. Crothix makes them even

milder…tear-free in fact, but because of the acid content, avoid the eye area

when using it.

 

 

 

Phase A

 

Water (55%)

 

Glycerin (2%)

 

Super Mild Surfactant Blend (15%)

 

Coco-Betaine (15%)

 

 

 

Phase B

 

Liquipar PE (1%)

 

Crothix Pastilles (1.5%)

 

Polysorbate 80 (4%)

 

Salicylic Acid (2%)

 

 

 

Phase C

 

Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein PLUS (4.5%)

 

 

 

Instructions:

 

1. Heat A and B until they reach 170F.

 

2. Combine A & B with good mixing, until all ingredients are emulsified, melted,

etc. (Additonal heating may be required).

 

3. Continue mixing occasionally to ensure emulsification and even cooling.

 

4. When cooled to 105-110F, add C as well as desired FO/EO.

 

 

 

THAT’S IT!

 

 

 

Note: As with all surfactant based systems, Eos/Fos can have dramatic effects on

viscosity, etc. Add it to a small amount first. Also, as with all surfactant

based systems, the product may need to “settle down” for up to 48 hours before

you can determine the finished look of it (so much air and so many bubbles get

whipped in).
