Guest guest
MessageHi Ann - A little bird told me you had good news!! You won't have to go back in the archives too far to find information on mastitis and thrush. Jill, Chris, Marge (I think), myself and a few other moms shared informational experiences. You could do a search under " thrush " , " mastitis " and/or " breastfeeding " here and you would find them. That was back in November I think...Deb McDuffee had her son around then and was having some difficulties with both of these maladies. In the meantime I will put together a Word document with what I have and what I find when I do a search through the list message archives that we can put in the files. Is there an appropriate folder Chris? I'll go take a look. Now why did I go and read these other posts??? I consider myself a NYC person. We gesture and shout because we can. It is a city where you can be yourself and not be persecuted for it. World's safest drivers 'cuz there aren't many driving maneuvers a person can pull that we haven't seen already!!! ROFLMAO! Dale Ann Thorpe [Ann] snip... After a fairly traumatic birth Nic found feeding quite difficult and eventually, after a hefty dose of thrush in her milk ducts followed by mastitis, she had to give up. She wants to breastfeed this next one but wants as much information as possible on how she can keep the thrush at bay so that she can avoid the awful pain and also the sorrow of not being able to continue feeding past 6 weeks. Any information will be gratefully received. Ann - Scotland
Guest guest
Thanks Dale I'll have a look in the archives. Basically what she wants to do is to try and ensure that she keeps the thrush at bay before and during delivery so as not to have the same experience as last time I didn't know if the previous messages covered that or whether they were referring how to get rid of it once she had started feeding - sorry if that sounds muddled. I'd have kept a note of the messages if I'd know she was pregnant at the time, but I only heard at Christmas Thanks again Ann - Scotland A little bird told me you had good news!!
