Despite years of me and others exposing the tricks in our trade most people just do not want to listen. Most people in aromatherapy as well as the public are so easily sucked in by con artists, i.e., give yourself or your product a fancy French or Indian type name and you must be wonderful. Even a well known aromatherapy author with a French sounding name, actually changed his name way back from his real name of Jack Weaver - I wonder why!! People really want to 'believe' and they just cannot absorb that their leaders and many suppliers are lying cheating con artists. One only has to look at the NAHA fiasco. Despite all the allegations of wrong doing (many provable) they continue to get members and keep going. Right now in the UK there is a company selling essential oils to aromatherapy suppliers in the USA. The companies name even has " Chem " in it. Yet because the manager is a charmer he sucks people in. A guy who was even jailed for two years for fraud and yet carries on as if nothing had happened. You can lead a horse to water but if it don't wanna drink what do you do.
