Guest guest
Janet..I am really sorry to hear about your flareup. I especially know what you are talking about. I have fibromyalgia and rhuematiod arthritis and degenerative arthritis and my flareups get so bad I was confined to a wheelchair for 6 months once. Spent two weeks flat on my back..the spasms were so intense that I couldn't walk, or hardly move. Hospital put me on so much morphine and other junk that they had to have a nurse by my bed at all times in case my breathing stopped..still didn't even touch the pain. Now I wire myself up with a tens unit when it gets bad and this makes it bearable. I have had this for almost 20 years and it still shocks me that it can be so bad. I am used to it now, and have found ways to deal with it, but when I am in a flareup, I have to tend to it and everything else has to go on a back burner or the added stress makes things worse. You know how that is. This winter I had a really bad flareup and I hear a lot of other fibromyalgia sufferers were going through similar episodes. This winter is really playing havoc on joint and muscle problems. My hands have swollen up and down so much I had to take my wedding rings off and I keep them off right now until the weather gets better. Can't wait until spring. Take care of yourself. I am rooting for you. Cherry
