Guest guest
Hi there all! Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Melissa and I am enjoying learning about blending EOs and other oils/butters to make my own combinations for my family. I'm curious - my favorite massage therapist was raving about some Sweetgrass EO that he bought on a reservation. He said it was very rare ... I tried to find some for myself tho and all I could find was a webpage saying Sweetgrass EO didn't exist, and that fake products were often sold to unsuspecting customers. Can anyone give me feedback on this - he's very concerned as he regularly uses it in his practice. Thank you!! Melissa
Guest guest
Unless some one does saturation infusion with sweetgrass ( Hierochloe oderata ), as an EO it does not exist but is an adulterated version with vanilla... Remember, to make an EO you need HUGE amounts of the plant and the real sweet grass is just too 'holy' to use that way. Same with sacred cedar oil, I cringe at all the steam distilled versions out there... ( native American's DID NOT, EVER steam distill any plant material for their rituals, rites, etc. it's a white thing ) ! C-M
