Ratio of witch hazel, and EO's?

I wanted to try to make a acne toner with witch hazel, oregano oil, clove

oil, lavender, and tea tree. Anyone know a clue how much of the EO blend to put

per ounce of witch hazel? Myself, family, and two of my closest friends

suffer from acne. Or does someone else have a recommended recipe to try?

Thanks,

Renee

Hey Renee,

I think your blend is " Too much " I think you are using too many strong eo's

there and will only end up with more skin problems. Butch already mentioned

the safety manual of Plant Aromatics. Also as a general rule if you don't go

over 1.5 % you should be alright but when you add more and more ingredients

to that it starts adding up. I think in my experience I would suggest a

blend that heals while balancing the skin. If you strip the skin of too much

oils and try to dry your skin out too much it will only end up producing

more oil to make up for it. If it were me and you specifically want a spray

I would go with orange blossom hydrosol and Manuka oil or tea tree essential

oil. Also a carrier oil in there that helps balance the skin can help too

like hazelnut or grapeseed (naturally extracted) Some have even had success

with extra virgin olive oil. Of course I personally would always suggest

organic and unrefined, but that is just me :) My personal preference:)

In a moment I will reply also to your question about the herbal courses!

Be well,

Jennifer
