Guest guest
Got THE phone call today. You all know THE phone call. It's the one that's ineveitable and you know it's coming, but yet... My mother-in-law died today. It's been coming for awhile, but still... She was severely demented and it is a relief for everyone involved... We've known for a couple of weeks that it was coming soon, she was in a coma and had just finally given up. Phone calls had been flying for the past couple of weeks, the tension of waiting ... Any way, that's one reason I haven't been around much. ONE reason. Fortunately none of the others are as depressing. Thank goodness. Well, off to book a flight to England... not for me, me husband. Guest guest
Kathleen, I really appreciate your candor around this loss. You wrote: She was severely demented and it is a relief for everyone involved...> When someone has been demented, in fact gone in soul before the body finally gives up, both death and mourning happen gradually in stages. Wishing your mother in law wings on the other side, and your husband peace of mind and a safe flight there and back again. Ien in the Kootenays ******************************* Stop. Breathe. Guest guest
Sorry to hear of your loss. I can certainly agree on the 'waiting' part. Been there, done that and don't want to do it again (I hope). Blessings, love, and prayers coming your way.
