Guest guest
Hi Chris: What do we do with the red clover ? I'll bet everyone would like to know about that ? Oops, if you don't mind that is. I know how hectic your schedule is with baby doll. Jenn in Oregon http://www.bellamiaskin.com jennsbellamiaskin - Christine Ziegler Tuesday, March 15, 2005 8:09 AM RE: Dried organic red clover? Guest guest
Hi Jenn, Red clover is good stuff. We'll have to make it next week's herb of the week In the meantime ... here is the deal with red clover in a nutshell .... Red clover has been traditionally used as an anti-cancer medicinal herb - especially ovarian and breast cancers. Its also a blood purifier and cleanser and assists the liver and gall bladder. It helps clear mucous and as a diuretic is used to treat gout. Sometimes it is used for the treatment of acne, eczema (in adults and children), psoriasis, and other acute and chronic skin diseases. Its a nourishing food herb that is high in calcium, potassium, and magnesium. It can be used as a tonic. Esoterically it is considered a gift from Spring Faeries to bring us luck and protection. Etc .... *Smile* Chris (list mom) <http://www.alittleolfactory.com> http://www.alittleolfactory.com jenn [jennsbellamiaskin] Hi Chris: What do we do with the red clover ? Guest guest
Well good grief, I guess I would qualify for " all the above " , lol. Thank you so much for the nutshell info here and condensed as well. Great job there, Chris. I sure appreciate it. I would love to grow some with all the forest around here, it's kind of hard to find any true solid sunlight so the Red Clover just might like it ? Hope so. Do you know where I can find the seeds to plant some ? I would love to order them. Huggs, Jenn - Christine Ziegler Tuesday, March 15, 2005 11:54 AM RE: Dried organic red clover? Guest guest
Renee, I always end up gathering and drying more clover than I use. Of course it is organic! I'd be happy to send you some, if the FDA lets me. They have some freshly paranoid rules in place.
Guest guest
Next week my dear ... patience <grinz> I'll start gathering info on it and where to get it, etc .. But for this week - the herb of the week is VIOLET, so no red clover for you! (said in the manner of " The Soup Nazi " from Seinfeld *lol* When I lived in NYC both red clover and violets grew as weeds (I always thought both were pretty from when I was a little girl, and now I know just how pretty and wonderful they really are! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com jenn [jennsbellamiaskin] Well good grief, I guess I would qualify for " all the above " , lol. Found some yesterday right after visiting on line with you and some of the other girls here. I'm excited nowwwwwww !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hey, that's one down and many more to go, LOL.
