Herb Of The Week - Violets

This is so great that this flower came up. I love the smell of violets. One

day I was in a mom and pop candy store, and I bought a pack of Choward's violet

mints. They are so different tasting. But the guy said I am his best customer

for buying them. I think the company also makes lemon, and peppermint. I am

not scared to try different things, and actually love the not so regular things

in life.

 

My grandmother grew beautiful, violets on her windowsill. All different

shades of purple. My father, and I do not do well with them.

 

If I can recall violets were a very prized flower in older days, maybe it was

the Victorian era. Not sure on that though. I must be watching to much Jane

Austin lately.
