Guest guest
My sweet suffering dil has been battling pain for over several month. Her symptoms are much as if she has sciatica. She is a waitress and it's so hard on her. She has had massages, seen a Chiropractor and recently had an ovarian MRI. All it showed was an ovarian cyst. My hunch is that the cyst can press on the same area that can effect the sciatic nerve, but.... Before I will start on her with poultices, I thought I pick our massive brain power on collective knowledge on this list for suggestions to give her relief.. Guest guest
Hi Crista, Ovarian cysts are usually the result of an excess of estrogen. A high quality progesterone cream would be a great idea and would help avoid other complications of estrogen dominance. Choose the cream carefully. Not all are created equal. Check out my fave at: http://www.organicexcellence.com Be sure that she does NOT use a cream with phytoestrogens, and that she avoids phytoestrogens in herbs and food (including soy products). Castor oil packs are excellent for ovarian cysts (and uterine fibroids too). For the discomfort, Arnica Montana is a good approach. Helps with pain and swelling. Still, the key is to address the cause -- too much estrogen. Let me know if I can be of more help, Michelle
Guest guest
Hi Christa, There is a great holistic menopause group at . Michelle Gluth has a website at : WWW.holisticmenopause.com. Sounds like your dil could use some progesterone. Michelle is very knowledgable. Best of luck to her. Guest guest
Hi Connie and all, Well, thank you for the compliment. I appreciate your confidence in me! Please know that women don't have to be menopausal to benefit from this group. There are many young women in the group too. And, the use of progesterone cream isn't limited to those in perimenopause or menopause. Hope to " see you " there, Michelle http://www.holisticmenopause.com
