Guest guest
Hey Kathleen .. Chris .. other good folks .. > Got any oregano oil? > > *Smile* > Chris (list mom) > > http://www.alittleolfactory.com Agree .. that is the main one needed now .. and a tad of Rosemary, Cineole and a tad of Eucalyptus globulus. > Alright, I've had this throat thing now for almost 4 weeks... now the > back of my neck (especially if I shake my head or lean it backwards) > feels stiff and aches up to the base of me brain and it makes me ears > hurt too when I do it... My guess .. your neck hurts cause you're favoring it .. trying to avoid rapid turns cause your throat is sore and when you make those turns you feel the soreness even more. My guess .. you have one ear that is hurting more than the other .. and one side of the throat is hurting more than the other side. My guess .. you have a bacterial infection .. ain't no virus less'n your immune system is lower than whale dung now .. virus would've done its thing and gone away by now if you are half way taking care of yourself. > Any quick Ideas on what to do about this, keeping in mind I'm not on > any medication and have tried nothing for it... and herbal advice though > appreciated won't be much help as all I have are mints and rosemary. If herbal advice was what you needed you could get the things you needed in any of the New Age Crap stores out there in Californicate. But my guess is .. you don't need herbal advice. I think .. ... Quit kissing your younguns for a while. ... If you're smoking .. stop .. leastways for now. ... You're probably coughing a lot .. that helps to make the throat sore and neck stiff .. so start sucking down a buncha herbal teas .. ten or 20 or 30 cups a day ain't gonna hurt you. Buy the commercial crap. ... Though I dislike OTC medications .. get some kinda spray antiseptic for the throat .. or some kinda lozenge. ... Steam is good .. dry is bad .. even plain steam is good but a drop or three of Eucalyptus globulus in a cuppa hot water helps the breathing and my guess is you are having problems with breathing. ... Diffuse Oregano most of the day .. or sniff it for 2-3 minutes 4-5 times a day .. throw in a drop or three of Rosemary .. great cocktail. ... Be patient. Bacterial critters are not invulnerable. > I'm thinking of gargling with Lemon Myrtle.... I believe that gargling with ANYTHING is the wrong thing to do for a sore throat .. lots of folks will disagree .. and that's fine but I'm NOT going to change my mind. The alternative to gargling (which is a stupid act unto itself) is to pour a liquid into the throat .. close off the throat .. then spit the crap out. Those who can't do that .. I have no advise on how to help you. Odds are your voice is weird too .. your vocal cords are strained due to the coughing .. gargling isn't the right way to deal with strained vocal cords or sore throats .. my opinion. > Cheers! > Kathleen Petrides > The Woobey Queen > The Warming Touch, Therapeutic Pillows > http://www.woobeyworld.com Y'all keep smiling. :-) Butch http://www.AV-AT.com
Guest guest
Thanks Butch, I took your advice and didn't gargle. It was a right bugger last night, I think it's some sort of infection because the right side of my tongue got this nasty looking dude on it, and swelled up really bad and I could barely swallow due to pain and it hurt right up to my middle ear. I was going to call the quack this morning, but before I went to bed I did tea tree in water and swilled. This morning all the mushrooms were gone, so was the pain and most of the soreness. YEAHHHHHHHHH! I be happy. I WILL be getting some oregano soon from you though. This was a whale of a nasty thing. Course letting it sit and incubate for 4 weeks was rather stupid too. Was just ignoring it and thinking it would go away. It, of course didn't. Next time I'll only wait two or three weeks! LOL! Thanks again, I appreciate all the advice I got on this. Cheers!
