Guest guest
The herb of the week this week - June 6 - 12th is Bitter Orange(Citrus aurantium). This includes the blossoms (which make neroli oil), the leaves (which make petitgrain oil) as well as the fruit (which make bitter orange oil), etc .... I will post various info about this wonderful plant with so many usable parts all week, and I hope that anyone who has any personal experience with this plant will not hesitate to post about it too :-D *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com

Of all three oils and their myriad effects, the most striking in my experience is the anti-anxiety effect of Neroli. (so THAT's why brides carry orange blossoms!) For anyone who suffers from anxiety or panic attacks, I have seen amazing results by the use of Neroli by inhalation. (most authorities say that petitgrain can be substituted. I am not at all sure that this is correct.) Celebrating 10 years online. Supplying pure Essential Oils, Aromatherapy Accessories, Information and more! Its not a " remembrance " oil like Rosemary, but it does cut down on the anxiety of taking tests and it also really seems to help perk you up in draining situations. I remember once as an observational experiment in a complimentary therapies class I took we diffused Neroli during a long (8 hr) day of class with lots of note taking - and I had so much more oomph that day than I did on others days when we hadn't diffused Neroli oil. Other classmates noticed it too. > For anyone who suffers from anxiety or panic attacks, I have seen amazing > results by the use of Neroli by inhalation. > (most authorities say that petitgrain can be substituted. I have to agree with your observations Marge! > <http://www.naturesgift.com> *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com
