Guest guest
Raynauds - yes! I am overseas in Korea, so I don't have access to a lot of help. I did go see a korean LC, and she said I had a good latch (I'm doubtful) and that I had Raynauds and gave me a prescription for nifedipine, which I cannot fill (we aren't allowed to use korean pharmacies.) She was really uncommunicative and unhelpful. I was really turned off by her. I can't find another one to get help from. I have been having problems with the flat nipple/white line thing after nursing. Bad latch, or raynauds? Neither of the two LLL ladies here can give me a good answer. She really clamps her jaw a lot, I think part of our problem is compression. Somedays it's better than others. I try to get to her before she gets really upset, and to make nursing really relaxing for her (to help unclench that jaw) but honestly, I can't make a correlation to the times she has a relaxed jaw and anything else. The shooting pains in the breast kinda went away - I'm doubtful now that I have thrush, I think it's just referred pain and trauma from sore nipples. To be honest, I'm not sure what to do now except stick it out for a few more weeks and see if things magically resolve past 8 weeks (she'll be 8 weeks this Saturday.) I'm almost tempted to fly back to the states to get help from a good LC, but her passport isn't here yet, so I can't even do that! We don't have a compounding pharmacy here, so I mixed up some APNO (neosporin/hydrocortisone/lotrimin) for myself. It's helping with the nipple cracks. Any other advice would be SO welcome, I am really dedicated to this, but the pain is starting to make me really depressed. Thanks, Jen and Stella
