Guest guest
Yes, Bonnie, this is mullein. It like to grow on roadside or recently turned over vacant lot's because the seeds have a hard time in hard ground. Use the flowers infused in olive oil for earaches. The leaves from two year old mullein can be smoked as a tobacco substitute. Also good burned in a shallow dish for people who have bronchitis. Tea can be made from the leaves, also, but it needs to be strained well. Together with plantain , honey and lemon, it's a wonderful cough remedy. The roots, infused in alcohol as a tincture make a fine remedy for all kind of back aches.. Look for clean mullein.. C-M
