Guest guest
Hi Folks, I've been working on some shampoo recipes using Decyl Polyglucose and here is one very basic one that can be played with and modified until the cows come home as the old saying goes This makes a good little trial size amount. 30 grams Decyl Polyglucose 2.5 grams Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein 2.5 grams Hydrolyzed Oat Flour 30 grams Hydrosol of choice (I used Rosemary and Lavender in equal parts) A little squirt of Green Tea Seed Oil Drops EO to scent I find that this lathers very nicely and leaves the hair VERY shiny. I still need to use a conditioner like I normally would after shampooing. I have fine straight hair that comes to the middle/lower part of my back and I ALWAYS need to condition, no matter what shampoo I've ever used - even the so called " combo shampoo and conditioner " shampoos. Some modifications I've tried are using a little bit of my handmade liquid soap in it, and/or adding some silk powder to it, or using a different hydrosol, or using a different vegetal oil in place of the Tea Seed Oil, or adding some herbal extracts, etc .... Enjoy - play with it, modify it, have fun with it - and please do share your results! *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com PS - All ingredients for this recipe except for the 2 hydrolyzed substances can be found at A Little Ol'Factory

I'll give it a shot. Just didn't know what to do with it after I bought it. Okay, I'm going to bed now since I seem to have lost it here tonight, LOL. Guest guest
Hi Jenn, There is so much you can do with it! You can make bubble bath really easily - just blend some of the decyl with EO to scent and a touch of water or hydrosol to thin it out and voila - super simple bubble bath! I'll post more recipes with it as I get a chance to! Just remember - you can use it in place of SLS in most recipes. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com On Behalf Of jenn This was sure nice to see from you Chris ! Thank you tons ! Guest guest
Hi Evemary, Oat flour certainly isn't a requirement, just one of the things that I used. You can definitely play around and use silk protein instead The hydrolyzed oat flour is available under a couple of names - Angie at The Herbarie has it under the name VenaSilk. *Smile* Chris (list mom) http://www.alittleolfactory.com On Behalf Of EveMary Hi Chris, Was wondering what could I substitue for the oat flour?
