The hokey pokey to me is totally linked with my

parents reminiscing about the liberation in 1945.

Apparently the hokey pokey was danced in

the streets with Canadian soldiers.

It brought tears to my eyes when my Canadian-

born daughter came home from grade one singing it.

Ien in the Kootenays (born in Holland,1943)
