Guest guest
I have a friend in Manitoba that is an ex hutterite. She still has friends in the colony and gets laundry soap from them. It is powdered and you can smell the lye in it. But I tell ya that is the BEST laundry soap I have ever used. I just wrote her last week to see if she could get their recipe :-)) She is working on it. I have a feeling it is just lard and lye. I was recently at a Huderite colony and they showed me the soap they make...it uses pig lard because they raised them but....here is the but.....they only use it as laundry soap. They put it in a large metal container that has a heating element on the bottom and a spigit. They turn on the heater and whala....liquid soap. >>>>
