LOL Hi Chris Kelly, Sorry, I cannot get you off of this soap box, but I am thrilled to join you!!! I know this is off-topic and am only posting because I feel that most on this group are open-minded and willing to hear the truth! Everyone here seems to be very concerned with " natural " approaches to body-care and I hope that I am not stepping on any toes by throwing in a few suggestions concerning other vehicles (such as water) that toxins invade our bodies! So, as much as I could expound on the multitude of toxinogenic carriers in our environment, I will limit myself to water in this post: ***It is a myth that well water is safer than municipal water! Most well water is now contaminated with run-off from factory farming (animal), agri-business (commercial and/or genetically modified farming), industrial waste, petro-chemical by-products, pesticide and herbicides (including PCBS AND DDTS), and cystic invaders such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia. Filter your well water! ***It is a myth that municipal water is safe to drink! Most municipal water stations in America treat the water with chlorine, which is a known carcinogen and neurotoxin. Not only should people filter their drinking water; but also their showers, as the skin is the largest organ and absorbs high amounts of chlorine! Most municipalities also treat with Flouride which is one of the most toxic substances allowed in our food chain, and is BANNED in other developed nations! ***It is also known that the estrogenic compounds in prescription drugs DO NOT BREAK DOWN in the human body, and thus are EXCRETED into the municipal water supply. It is also known that most municipal water stations do not have the scientific capabilities to extract these contaminates from the public supply of water! You very well may be drinking water contaminated with your neighbors birth control pills! ***It is also know that the psychotropic chemicals in prescription drugs DO NOT BREAK DOWN in the human body, and thus are EXCRETED into the municipal water supply. It is also know that most municipal water stations do not have the capabilities to extract these contaminates from the public supply of water! Prozac, anyone? So, please, get yourself a good water filter (I use reverse osmosis) and a filter for your shower if you are on municipal water. Warm regards and continue to be!
