Guest guest
Hello everyone - We're big bird watchers here in CT. I am wondering if anyone on the migratory route for North American birds has put up feeders to help them as they cross the gulf area? I'm very afraid that they won't find enough sustenance to help them on their journey. There will be many in danger. Right now I'm worried about the two goldfinches that are still here with me. Due to all the rain a lot of my flowers were still blooming although they are quite bedraggled right now. I'm wondering if that has these two little guys - I don' think they're female, they're dull colored unless one is an immature male - confused. I'm also thinking about the hummingbirds that have left the Southeastern corners (like TN). So many feathered friends. I'm reading a great book right now Why Birds Sing. It's about how their 'singing' is more than their innate calls. A couple of musicians have visited various aviaries to play with them. Dale " To know the way ahead ask those coming back.
