Would you share the pierogi recipe ??? I have a couple of recipes for them I'm

not real crazy about them - don't taste close enough to the ones Grandma used to

make :(

I used to have super powers but my therapist took them away

Neysa,

You are so right! My polish girlfriend introduced them to me about 30 years

ago. Her mother also taught me how to make periogies. Divine! :)

Oh you betcha!! I used to say that she could make a 6 course gourmet

meal out a pair of old rubber boots. She cooked for all the ethnic

weddings and funerals in the town I grew up in. I would go to her house

and eat til I was sick! LOLOLOLOL

It was HEAVEN!!!

I am totally glad that my local organic farmer's crops are producing

once again and she was able to supply the local organic veggie co-op

with veggie boxes today - BUT - I got 11 large cucumbers in my box!!!!

They aren't pickling cukes, they are regular cukes! 3 or 4 cukes I can

handle, but what in the world am I going to do with 11 large cucumbers??

Any ideas anyone (no perverted ideas, please ;-p)

*Smile*

Chris

How about making pickles? Don't have a recipe now...something happened to my

mother's recipe file box, but am sure there are hundreds online.

My DH is a meat cutter/butcher and makes the sausage they sell at the store. The

Polish sausage recipe he uses was my grandma's recipe. One of my aunts that

lives in the Detroit area sends one of my cousins here every few months just for

some sausage. She says it's the best Polish sausage she's had since Grandma

passed away.

If he had a recipe, I'm sure he could. Our long standing joke is since we met,

I've learned to cook Japanese (his mother is from Japan) and he's learned some

Polish cooking so dinner at our place is usually " Polish-ese cooking " LOL

Being as there are 4 folks in your family and only 2 in mine .. and we

go through roughly 4 cucumbers a day (eat'em at 3 meals) those 11 cukes

would last us less than 3 days .. so .. my recommendation is for y'all

to eat the dang things. ;-)

Slice them rascals lengthwise into quarters .. its fun to eat'em like

that and the younguns will like the cool, fun food.
