I use a drop of Blue Lotus about once every 3 months or so...a tint drop on " 3rd eye " or just sniffed through the bottle is an experience that is difficult to describe. This is truly a special and rare aromatic experience. As for perfume, I do not really use Blue Lotus in perfumes- I can not stand to waste a drop or change it in any way besides perhaps the depth of Sandalwood in an attar. I have only used it hydro-distilled, the attar and absolute, so the concrete is tempting me. What is the consistency of the concrete Marcia? Swoooooooooooooooon.... What an apt description, Elizabeth, *swooooon*. I don't know what it is about this stuff, but you are right about it being a rare and special aromatic experience. Very spiritually uplifting and mind-altering. The consistency is like a softened, very waxy beeswax, but with dense chunks (tiny) throughout. Since I wrote the ad, I have made dilutions in fractionated coconut, perfumer's grape alcohol and Everclear of both the absolute and concrete. I did the absolute before the concrete and it will take time to meld into these diluents so I can really appreciate them and be able to share more thoughts. I like the absolute best diluted in either fractionated coconut or Everclear, it doesn't seem to marry well with the grape spirits, they seem to fight one another. You may be right in that it doesn't need a lot of other scents to add for a perfume and perhaps it should stand alone or with only a soft sandalwood.
