Guest guest
Hi, I'm hoping to hear from one of the vet acupuncturists on here, or anyone who might have idea. A patient of mine emailed the following to me, so I thought I'd see if anyone has ideas: Imola (8 years old) has been throwing up for about two months now. Along with the throwing up is a super gurgly tummy. The vomiting is normally on an empty stomach and consists of foamy/bubbly stuff. She also goes for eating grass like there's no tomorrow... We've been to the vet a few times, physical exam found nothing out of the ordinary. The suggestion from the Vet was a low daily dose of Prilosec a human anti-heartburn med. The thinking was that since she only eats once a day or once every day and a half that it was a stomach acid issue. The Prilosec didn't have much of an effect. Next the vet tested blood and stool looking for anything out of the ordinary, nothing stood out. I'm starting to think the grass is the cause of the vomiting and not a symptom of the stomach ache. Do you have any insight on what could cause a dog to be feasting on grass?
