HI All,

I'm interested in hearing about microcurrent. Is it worth the investment? Do you

see the dramatic results expounded by some users? Thanks for any feedback

concerning this.

Sincerely,

Dave Vitello

Yeah, I am still sitting on the fence regarding buying a machine, and would like

to hear from people who currently use it in their practice.

Hi Dave,

I have had intense interest in microcurrent therapy and electro-acupuncture for

over 20 years, and have done a lot of experiments with using it for a wide range

of acupuncture treatments as well as seeing how it speeds up healing of injuries

and neurologic conditions. My conclusion is that it will provide dramatic

results if applied with proper techniques that work with the bio-electric

properties of the body. Simply applying microcurrent locally over pain areas as

conventional electric stim is done will give hit or miss results. I would be

glad to share some specifics of the techniques I use if you are interested.

Hi Darren, why don't you go ahead and share them with the list. I'm sure you

will have an interested audience.

are we talking frequency specific microcurrent? like this site:

http://www.frequencyspecific.com/ ?

I have it regularly in conjunction with colemas, and absolutely love it. I feel

it makes a big difference in my healing process. Its great for recovery from

trauma, emotions, and " zapping " stealth pathogens. I have found it helpful for

candida and lyme, and other chronic infections/immune deficiencies like this.

I would love a my own machine, but they are pricey. The woman that works on me

has 3 or 4 of them, and runs them all at the same time on me.

Would love to hear other people's experience....

Hi Hugo,

OK, I'll be glad to share some insights about microcurrent

electro-acupuncture. The bottom line is that local stimulation - zap it

where it hurts - produces inconsistent results, even when high quality

equipment is used. The same is true for lasers. The body processes local

stimulation very differently from whole-body treatment. I've discovered or

helped develop a series of specialized techniques for microcurrent

electro-acupuncture that produce much better results with longer lasting

carry-over. We use these techniques for enhancing acute and chronic pain

control, accelerated rehab and facial rejuvenation. These techniques

combine aspects of local treatment (circling the dragon) with whole-body

treatment. The whole-body treatments use local-distal point combinations,

cross-body treatments and use of holographic micro-systems. While most

acupuncturists are familiar with auriculotherapy or Korean hand points, the

added benefit of microcurrents are the use of polarized electrodes that

create a circuit between the affected body area and the associated

micro-system points. I've also found that adding color light therapy to the

acu-point circuits enhances results further.

Most electro-stim involves applying electrical pads or probes onto painful

or weak areas of the body. According to Dr. Hiroshi Motoyama local

electrical stimulation acts mainly through ion changes and accumulations in

localized body fluids. Local stimulation reduces skin resistance and makes

the area more electro-positive in relation to surrounding areas. Whole-body

stimuli can make the areas more electro-negative, and are due to sympathetic

NS effects called Galvanic Skin Response. Anyway I believe that good

microcurrent techniques include both local and whole-body techniques, often

with polarization patterns that quickly balance the body's electrical

fields.

I would welcome any forum members who want to discuss or get more

information on these principles or techniques to correspond with me here.
