Guest guest
Kath, Please look at the archive. We've had many conversations about vaccines in the last year, including many posts from the vets on the group. Personally, I would not like to go down that road again on this group. Guest guest
Kath, To search the archives, google , then sign in with your username and password, find the TCM group among your groups that you to; go to the TCM group and look on the left for messages, files, etc. Click messages and then you'll be able to search messages. I typed in " cat vaccine " and there were 34 hits. You might also just have an off-group conversation with one of the vets. Hope this helps, RoseAnne On Jan 21, 2010, at 12:11 PM, wrote: > i don't know how to access/use the archive. > > k > > On Thu, Jan 21, 2010 at 11:51 AM, RoseAnne Spradlin > <ra6151 wrote: > >> >> >> Kath, >> >> Please look at the archive. Guest guest
The only only only vaccine advised for cats is a ONE TIME vaccine administration for the one lethal virus of concern which is feline distemper. Never vaccinate against rabies unless it is state mandated and realize there is much work getting done to change the laws surrounding rabies. Only one rabies vaccine is necessary administered to a mature mammal (over 15 weeks) to confer amnestic response of memory for rabies for the life of the animal. NEVER EVER inject a vaccine in the cat for herpes of Calici virus, this will only allow latent Herpes to express. This is the minimal vaccination recommendations by Dr. Ron Schultz our leading premiere veterinary vaccine researcher and one of only three whom ever even research the effects of vaccines on our animals. Unless a cat as a kitten will be directly exposed to a Felv cat there is NO RECOMMENDATION FOR ANY Feline Leucemia vaccines. There is a huge amount of information coming out linking the pathway of most disease to the very use of vaccines. I have just completed a highly referenced article on this for another journal TCVM....and once it has been published would send a copy to anyone requesting this if they email me off list. I operated a feline only cat practice and adhered to this minimal vaccine recommendation without any problems, now, I would not advocate for any vaccines without first finding out if the cat was already " genetically imprinted " via vertical transfer of previous generation immunization. It is a serious serious mistake to think vaccines are either safe or effective, even the AVMA and AAFP are starting to admit this. Guest guest
patricia, thank you for your opinion and info. may i have your permission to forward this post to my local vet, Dr. Andrea Fochios, dvm, lac, who will be administering the vaccine? we are state mandated for rabies in dogs (NC), not sure about cats. what risks would you be concerned that i would take on if i ignored the state mandate and did not give the rabies to the cat? Guest guest
The rabies vaccination caused cancer in one of my cats when she was only 5 years old. The vet I have now told me the cancer was directly connected to the rabies shot and that my cat could not have any other vaccinations. The vet performed a radical surgery and 4 years later my cat has been cancer free. Guest guest
EXACTLY! Now I came shortly from a practice in Massachusetts that has destroying the immune system of the majority of animals in that area by giving dangerous unsafe and totally unnecessary vaccines everyone they can year after year after year until they are vaccinated into autoimmune disease and cancer by the time they are 5! They were doing 21 sometimes euthanasias in 2 days!.......What the animals got was IMMUNOPATHOLOGY from the crap vaccines. No one wasted any time looking at what any of the components of vaccines were even doing to the immune system or the whole body. Lyme and Lepto vaccines the disease is the antigen and immune cell interaction, so you get the vaccine YOU GET THE PATHOLOGY of the Dis ease. The dis ease is the disharmony of the interaction of antigen with the immune cells! Rabies vaccinations is more a scam than anything routed in science. That is why they are even doing the Rabies Challenge Fund. There is already a study a French study looking at both dogs and cats carried out to five years to prove protection via challenge which is the only way the USDA FDA wants to license rabies vaccines....based on challenge. The bulk of this fear based rabies crap is literally crap but it is taking a large about of work to get the laws changed. So, while they can they will hang you with those laws. I left private practice working in any facility that vaccinates, I can prove in court the procedure holds no scientific proof for the laws that exist on the books today and I simply refuse to be a part of it. They do not have the science to support the wildlife baiting vaccine of live rabies virus either but when did that stop the authorities from making an endemic wildlife rabies problem in the US, a big enough problem to support the rabies vaccination scams? Look for this information to be hitting mainstream as more and more of the medical professionals are realizing we have been fleeced.....all of us!
