Guest guest
I am wondering if anyone has ever billed for pregnancy wellness treatments with the diagnosis code V22.0 (or V22.1)? Is there any other code you can use? Guest guest
Ariel: Don't know if you got a response from this yet. I never use wellness codes. Always a pain code is included. Even 20 yr. olds get pain somewhere, sometime. A pregnant woman. Does she get low back pain? I am sure there is something there. Anne Anne C. Guest guest
I am actually treating her for insomnia and pregnancy care, but she doesn't want me to bill for insomnia. I called her insurance company to see if they would cover a diagnosis of V22.0, and they wouldn't tell me. Her insurance does cover everything related to pregnancy, but I just don't know if they will cover acupuncture for pregnancy wellness. For the most part, I have an easy time with insurance companies and get paid, but sometimes they are just so frustrating. They told me I will just have to submit a the claim and see if it gets paid. It is very frustrating for me as a practitioner because I don't know if I will get paid, and very frustrating for my patiet because she doesn't really know what is covered. In the meantime, it's a secondary insurance, so I have to submit to the primary first, wait for that denial, then submit to them. It could be months before I know what they will cover! Ok, sorry for the complaining! I welcome any suggestions. Thanks! Ariel Anne Crowley wrote: > > > > > Ariel: > > Don't know if you got a response from this yet. I never use wellness > codes.
