Speaking of wheat-free diets - I have a patient that was just diagnosed with

celiac disease. Does anyone know of a good cookbook or good references for her?

She wants to read up on it, and wants to understand how to shop and cook in her

new lifestyle.

Thanks!

Gluten sensitivity is much more common than I ever would have believed.

I see more and more patients who benefit from a wheat break, if not permanent

elimination, depending on their level of sensitivity. I've also been

supplementing them with DPP-IV, a probiotic and l-glutamine. Seems to help in

recovery.
