Guest guest
Hi, All-- Since both ovaries are removed, the hot flashes are more fierce. Any recommendations for herbal formula(s) appreciated. Guest guest
I follow TCM very closely in these cases. Ask how she feels when she does NOT have a hot flash, if she says " cold " consider Er xian Tang, if she says " warm " , consider Liu wei di huang wan with additions or Da bu yin wan; if she has liver fire, use Long dang xie gan tang first, before enriching the yin. This is a situation where I have found raw herbs to vastly outperform powders, if you have a raw herb pharmacy, use Gui Ban liberally. Although I prefer a vegetarian pharmacy, my understanding is that these turtles are not killed for their shells, and I found nothing that effectively substitutes for their use.
