Guest guest
.....then you can drink the herbs and it will go towards your child. That's what we did for the 1st year. After that, a dropper bottle works really good to squirt herbs back to be swallowed. Guest guest
Z'ev, can you explain how nux vomica works with colic for hiccuping in the womb? I've used the homeopathic on my son for profuse catarrh cough before to good effect. For some reason, homeopathics work really well for kids. In my experience, they wear off for adults after constant use. Maybe we're just too confusing? Do you use homepathics in your clinic? and what's your view of the interaction with Chinese herbs? Guest guest
John, It would take an essay to give my explanation for how homeopathics like nux vomica work. But as for its effectiveness for children vs. adults, I think it has to do with the fact that children's bodies and psyches are more 'clear', qi and blood flow better, and there are less toxic deposits in their bodies such as pesticides, drugs, accumulated waste products, etc., all of which make it difficult for homeopathic remedies to act. George Vithulkas used to say that his best results were with rural farmers in Greece, who took much less in the way of pharmaceuticals, lived closed to the land and ate local foods. I don't use homeopathics in the clinic, as I feel to be an excellent homeopath I'd have to devote all my time to it. In order to do Chinese medicine well, I devote all my time to that. . Guest guest
Z'ev, that's exactly how I feel about the subject. Homeopathics work for people with less stress factors. People in the cities have an average of at least 3 stress triggers working all of the time.... financial, relational, fast-food spirituality, pop culture thrown down our throats, survival from cars: 2 tons speeding at high velocity in dense space, cell phone and power line radiation and radio signals, psychic thoughts from people living in very close quarters... computers that talk back at you and people like me who keep sending messages your way, let alone the toxins of de-natured, genetically modified, pesticide ridden, hormone pumped food and the average of 3+ pharmaceuticals that people take just to keep going with all of this... I respect that you know about homeopathics, but practice what you know well. Guest guest
she did hiccup in utero, and since she's spitting up a good bit (and actually hiccuping right now!), nux vomica sounds like a good idea. any idea what strength for this? thanks Z'ev!
