Guest guest
Dear group, I have been planning this for months and finally post here. I have written a book Prevention and Treatment of Cancer: Medicinal Foods and Qigong. I have the English version right now and looking for your help to tranlate in the language(s) you know the best. Thousands of new confirmed cases of cancer everyday and their families suffer the most. I believe tcm can do a lot and has written a book to tackle it. I have posted the tables of content here before. The objective People need hope. ----is to give hope to those cancer (or chronic )patients who cannot afford the expensive chemo/oral treatment, especially in the underdeveloped countries. We don't mean to substitute them. Chemo surgery are helpful but the caretaking/diet/exercises are more important to substain one's life. Patients need to be educated. It is for those who has no access to English or Chinese language. As the book will come with a dvd, they can practice at their disposal even though when the inexpensive Chinese herbals are not available to them. Some basic info about the book The book is not long. It is around 22,000 words, 40% are recipes contents. It probably takes 2 weeks fulltime to commit, with me at Toronto or Hong Kong. You do not have to be a licensed practitioner, some background in the tcm helps but not necessary. The book is for laymen, not specific for tcm physicians; ---You preferably have college education (not must) but must have either editorial skills with good excellent writing skills. ----You need to commit your time at the specific time, at your own expenses, like a workshop and work along with others, due to copyright issue; ---- no payment for your work except the book in your name as the translator, you will get a small % from the publishing house once it is released; ----I am not the final judgement but the publishing houses, if your work is rejected, you will be mentioned for your work in the published book; at least you tried, learn the treatment, and make some good friends ----the plan is not mature yet and i have no helpers. If you can commit, be team players and no individualistic or you will be asked to leave It is an extremely difficult task and we need sponors in terms of publication and money to self- publish if necessary. I have some patient's connection in Mexico and may be Indonesia. If you know you can help, please don't hestitate. Do something for your countrymen, not for me. Let them see the power of Chinese medicine and Chinese culture to boost up our immunity. ----write to me, please. Guest guest
Any espanol or francaise or any eastern European language speakers are interested? I will share all the knowledge in this book iwth you. Knowledge that you cannot pay as tuition. I posted here asking for someone working with me on translating Jin Gui Yao Lue in 2008. The book has 250,000 English words and is almost identical to the textbook used by TCM college students in China, if not better. It is published and your harwork would have been paid off. Which makes you an expert in this subject, along with all my knowledge about the book. I hope this book will work the same way, good samaritan is paid back 10 times or more. Afterall, it is your people who will be benefited. Risk nothing, gain nothing. Sung, Yuk-ming
