Hello Group Members,

I am working at a chiropractic office. Please offer some suggestion about what I

shoul dcharge per patient. Its mostly insuracne and PIP. My guess at the avreage

rate of reimbursement in Seattle is $70 for insuracne and 110 for PIP.

Please let me know what I should shoot for in the contract.

Thanks for any help you can offer.

David,

That type of discussion is a no-no on forums as it really becomes a collusion

thing and we can get in trouble for participating in it.

What I can suggest is that you poll the area LAc's and find out what they charge

and also take the time to figure out where you need to be to make a living and

pay your bills and divide this by the number of patients you want to see and

viola, you have your answer. Are you comfortable taking insurance and if so,

how are you going to handle followup phone calls and billing? I have rarely

noticed that a clinic will be seeing equal parts insurance and cash, usually it

is one or the other that dominates. What kind of patient do you want? What is

your patient demographic? Are you a good fit with this chiropractor's

philosophy? Just some thoughts. Hope it helps.

BTW, did your school have much practice mgmt courses for you?
