Guest guest
David You make the mistake of believing that there is such a thing as free or accurate press. The press gets the same talking points given to them that the politicians do. A long time I ago I read from the Vedic scriptures speaking about this world/realm....that NOTHING is real here. One could interpret that to mean that nothing is LEGIT in this world. Nothing is as it seems or appears. The media couldn't fight their way out of a paper bag just like the politicians can't do the same. They are all puppets on some one's lollypop stick. In actuality every single politician and every person in the media are ACTORS. Yes....that's right....actors. They get hired to play a role and speak the lines which are given to them. When they fall out of line they get the proverbial chop. Don't wait too long for the national orgs or 20,000+ licensed practitioners to respond. Richard In a message dated 3/23/2010 8:39:35 P.M. Just a little research by the reporter(s) would have shown infection is rare in this country.... if one is seeing a properly trained practitioner ( not a weekend wonder with a few [1, 2, 3] hundred hours of training). It could have been pointed out that we actually use disposable needles and are trained in infection control... which someone pointed out. I believe the needles used in this study are not single use disposable..disposable..<WBR>.. but in office sterilized. We surely are 80% of the Hep B cases in the USA. Now, clearly this article has nothing to do with the practice of acupuncture / OM here in the USA. Europe... Hong Kong ... maybe, but not here. All this being so, I think we are right to be quite upset. I am still waiting for a rebuttal from our national organizations ... setting the record straight? Where is the press release? Sadly, I think we will wait a long time for this, but the bill for their fees will still go out on time. The whole thing can be turned to our advantage... the question is who will do it.... just a follow-up article in " Acupuncture Today " is not the answer.
