I know it's not CM, but does anyone know if damiana can be safely used during

pregnancy? It is used for fertility but when I do a google search some say it

has been used to induce abortion in the past. Others say that it has not been

studied for pregnancy. Anyone have experience?

Depends I guess why it is being used and the dosage...that said Avia Rhomm

considers it to be not recommended because of its cyanogenic constituents and to

be avoided during pregnancy and lactation.

Be well,

Do not use it!!!!! I used to make these amazing Damiana truffles. Yum, gave them

away to numerous people with no idea that they caused uterine contractions until

I made a batch while pregnant. Needless to say I have a healthy baby but I felt

really horrible all day, lots of pain, etc... So I went home and researched it

and saw the little known part about it being an abortificant. I wouldn't

recommend it. Plus I only ate two tiny truffles.

Thanks for sharing! Well, that's the end of that. If you felt cramping after

one dose while pregnant I think its best to avoid it.
