Guest guest
I stress this point every time this conversation surfaces. -Jason-- No one mentions Chinese language training. --- I also stress another point whenever I bring up Chinese language - something more fundamental than language training, which is internal cultivation. Without nei dan we have no way to access the material directly, and we are left with a hoopla of intellectual interpretation and understanding - all of it subject to subconscious bias. Guest guest
Hugo, I couldn't agree more on the point you make about internal cultivation. In my experience, that was the main " missing factor " in my education in the MSTOM program. With the exception of a few individuals, the medicine was not 'embodied' by those who were teaching. I would just add to your phrase - " we are left with a hoopla of intellectual interpretation and [mis]understanding.
