Guest guest
I have been aware of Scenar devices for the about 6 years or so, and I talked to the company Don bought his device from. Beside Don they have no contact info for any other acupuncturist who is using their equipment. I am deterred by the high cost. I work in a heavily HMO dominated market and treatment fees are fixed, if I buy expensive equipment and spend extra time I still get the same amount of money for the treatment, and Don's protocols are more time consuming than is feasible for my clinic. (ASH realistically only pays for 15 minutes because they only reimburse 97810 OR another code and not both.) If you consider buying one of the Scenar devices, you should know that the company is willing to negotiate quite a bit, however, I do not think you can get a comparable machine elsewhere. If you look on eBay you will see a ton of stuff there, but I don't think it compares. Guest guest
I have been using these devices for a few years now, sometimes it does take considerable time for a treatment. There is a company now in Texas that sells these, they get them from Russia. Tomatex is the name for the company. Alexander Zide L.Ac ________________________________ " Angela Pfaffenberger, PH.D. Guest guest
The company I use just moved from Canada to Austin, Tx. Dr. Irina is the owner and sells only LET Models. And you are right, they are time consuming if you use to full dose. If you use acupuncture you can get away with a quarter dose and still expect stellar results. You only need to dose if treating neuropathys and I never use SCENAR alone. I integrate. I'm glad to see others opening their minds and putting their patients first, all else is secondary.
