Guest guest
Hello, The list began accepting rs on 6/1/99. We don't quite have a quorum yet, but there's enough of us to have a discussion. Post any messages to or reply to the list regarding any messages you receive. We might start by introducing ourselves. I began my study of Chinese Herbal medicine with Subhuti Dharmananda at the Institute for Traditional Medicine in 1988. I began OCOM in 1990 and have been working in a clinical setting since 1991. I have always been focused on strange and unusual conditions, as well as serious chronic illness in my studies and practice. I worked at OCOM and the local naturopathic college between 1994 and 1996, developing academic and clinical training in chinese herbology. Currently, I own a multidisciplinary clinic with acupuncture, massage and naturopathy services. I began this site because the small community of serious chinese herb practitioners is scattered over the globe. Since dialogue is one of the foundations of understanding, I thought it was time to begin talking regularly as a group. We all have experiences to share and questions to ask. We must also recognize that our training falls short of both the classical apprenticeships and the modern university hospitals of china. Hopefully, this list will allow the ongoing interaction of students with their teachers, youger practitioners with older and senior practitioners.
