Guest guest
Hello, I'm just going to give an outline of the above mentioned course so that people understand where it came from and to use it. Spagyrics is the art of preparing natural substances to enhance their therapeutic effects. It was developed very intensely in the West ,greece and the middle east because they did not have the biodiversity of phytochemicals present in herbs found in China and India and so generated diversity by provoking evolution of plant material. Some people call it Alchemy. The course material is from speaking notes I have used giving conferences in the US and Europe. It's content is based on FQAs. The material, along with a book called The Practical Handbook of Plant Alchemy : An Herbalist's Guide to Preparing Medicinal Essences, Tinctures, and Elixirs by Manfred M. Junius, ISBN: 0892814853 can be of a great help to herbalists, along with Michael Moore's homepage, to prepare their own medecines. About 70 % of the material was taken from existing internet sites to show that spagyric principles are also scientific and to give you somewhere to go if a truck runs me over. Sometimes chinese herbs and formulas benefit from spagyric intervention, sometimes not. I'm trying to find the pattern, hence my interest in the books. Although I can read pulses and such, my expertise is more in manipulation and needling. I am sorry that I did not learn about chinese herbs when I had the chance. So far about 8 people have asked for the course. I've just gotten back from a weekend MA seminar so I'm in the process of sending these things out.
