Guest guest
In regard to Western diagnoses, I can still remember my teachers saying: " do not be too concerned with the western diagnosis- treat what you see, and you will do right by your patients " . A case in point is an elderly patient I see who has been diagnoses with congestive heart failure and ulcers. This patient does not currently, nor in the past, have any symptoms of either, yet has been put on medication for both. He is currently getting second opinions and discussing discontinuing his meds with his doctor. I've treated him twice for sciatic pain, for which he did have signs and symptoms, and which has now ceased to bother him. Thus, in designing the treatment plan for this patient, there was no need to consider either the diagnosis or the meds. Gina
