Guest guest
Dear listserv members, greetings. I am graduating from ACTCM in a few short weeks (yeah!). Last 10 yrs worked as an analyst at UCSF. MA in Education. Sean, perhaps cool moxa on the girl paralyzed in MVA. Dr. Fu recommends (per Sun Si Miao's " Valuable Prescriptions " ) external poultice to invigorate collaterals, and may feel " safe " until you get to know the situation better. Make a paste with either honey, ginger juice, vinegar or garlic paste and ground raw herbs*. Leave on ah shi 4 - 6 hrs or 1 - 2 days depending on the aromatic strength of herbs. If itches, remove. Careful for allergic response. Cover with gauze/tape. *Ding xiang, bo he, xi xin, hua jiao, bai jie zi, zao zhou, bing pian, or even fu zi, rou gui. We had a very good affect with the following on a pt with shoulder joint pain, 1 peanut-size ball applied to glenohumeral joint, 1 near LI15 and 1 near SJ 14: bai jie zi, gan sui, yan hu suo, wu tou + xi xin, equal amounts of each. Good luck! -pz
