Guest guest
Hello everyone, Thank you all for your feedback regarding this patient. I have seen her twice to date. She is not on any blood thinning drugs, and is surprisingly on very few meds. When I treated her she was in a rehab hospital, M.D.'s were nowhere to be seen, and the nurses were not interested in helping me. I did have a number of the Springwind compresses in my clinic and brought them down and instructed the mother in their usage. Unfortunately, the child's condition has declined and they re-admitted her to the hospital, and the mother is not interested in her receiving my care in that setting. She said she would contact me when her daughter is returned to the rehab hospital. I don't think she has been applying the compresses yet. Applying the compresses, is a little tricky because she has a tracheostomy tube in and is on a ventilator with a partial soft collar around her neck. It is possible though. I have been trying to get the mother to do as much as possible in an effort to reduce her stress level, because the little girl cries at the sight of me. I will keep you posted...
