Guest guest
I just started reading a new book called understanding acupuncture. It has been called one of the most thought-provoking books on the subject in recent memory by Bob Flaws. I bring this up because the main argument of the book is that acupuncture and all of Oriental Medicine can only be understood in the context of history, anthropology, sociology, philosophy, etc. The Chinese herb Academy has invited not only students and practitioners of traditional Chinese medicine to join but also academics in related disciplines interested in the history development and modern practice of Chinese herbal medicine. Because of this, it is completely appropriate for topics on this list to touch on areas of history, anthropology, etc. Although sharing cases is one function of this list, it is most certainly not the sole function of this list . Apparently, this is a matter of concern for some people. In response to this I've started a new list to discuss cases in clinical practice of Chinese herbal medicine. The discussion will be exclusively restricted to clinical matters. I will not particpate actively in this new list until it develops a life of its own I will notify Chinese herb academy members of the name and subscription method for the new case list as soon as it is up and running.
