Is anyone aware of the contents (or efficacy) of the following formulas for adult onset diabetes/Syndrome X? <<Of the herbs that lower blood glucose, those that do so by increasing cell-level insulin sensitivity are of the most interest clinically, as those that act on the pancreas or liver may hasten the progression of NIDDM. The following formulas are shown in the literature (at least suggested if not proven) to increase insulin sensitivity. Can anyone ID the formulas? They are not in Bensky. san huang jiang tang jiangtangkang seishin-renshi-in Of possible interest, an Asian inula species (etoh extract) and Opuntia cactus both showed evidence of increasing insulin sensitivity, while gymnema did not.
