Guest guest
Can someone who speaks Chinese explain what the word we translate as " acridity " implies? Wiseman isn't much help. He speaks of acrid medicinals containing volatile oils, and acridity as disapating and moving. By that standard how is gypsum acrid? I can't for the life of me taste it. And then can we get to " aromatic " and why something with the wonderful smell of zhi mu isn't considered aromatic?
