Guest guest
I found a site from TianJin hospital of TCM with pages about kidney disease. They claim great success with glomerular nephritis, renal failure, etc. http://www.web2000.com/xinxing/etitle.htm Their formula, Metelline, is as follows: Ingredients of MetellineTM Major components of MetellineTM comprise six natural herbs and two animal extracts that are known for their therapeutic effects on disorders of Kidney, Lung, Liver and Spleen. These ingredients have been used extensively in China for internal medicine for thousand of years and proven to be safe materials. MetellineTM demonstrated excellent efficacy against a variety of kidney diseases. The proprietary composition of the herbal ingredients and the formulation process preserve the medicinal potency of the original herbal plants to restore kidney functions. 1. Poria cocos wolf. (Pochymacocos Fries, India Bread) 2. Cuscuta Epithymum (Dodder Seed) 3. Radix Rehmanniae (Rehmannia Glutinosa Libosch. ) 4. Radix Astragali (Milkvetch Root) 5. Fructus Corni (Asiatic Cornelian Cherry Fruit) 6. Spora Lygodii (Lygodium Japonicnm) 7. Grounded Tortoise-shell 8. Saifa Tatarica (Grounded Antelope Horn) I have a couple patients strongly interested in this formula. I have all the ingredients except the rare/illegal (?) Antelope horn, and would like to substitute a combination of Gou Teng and Bai Shao for the Ling Yang Jiao. Does this sound reasonable to you? I've been in contact with a Dr. at the hospital via e-mail. I asked him about dosage, and he, of course, said that dosage and extraction methods are proprietary, etc. They would ship a month's supply here for $118 +$36 shipping. I'm planning on grinding the ingredients and making a powder, with doses about the same as most regular formulas. Any feedback, cautions, or comments would be welcome.
