Particularly for Dagmar:

If the herbs are being tough on someone's stomach, consider adding a

small handful of rice (pref. short grain) to the herbs before

decocting. Dr. Liu, Guo-Hui recommended this, using Gen Mi, or aged

rice, to protect the stomach from harsh herbs. I have found it works

well.

PS I'm quite happy with my grinder. However, it has made my

pharmacy look like a messy playroom! My Cang Er Zi San kicks butt

over Mayway's bi yan pian or Golden Flower's Jade Screen w/ Xanthium

as far as potent taste goes. It works great, too! I went to Eugene

and slammed it down all the way there--no spring allergies at all,

which is about as close to a miracle cure as you can get, if you know

Eugene!
