Guest guest
I think qi gong induced illness is a relevant topic to this list, as it may be a cause of illness which is typically treated with herbs in part. however, this does not usually cause acute GI sx, but rather chronic mental problems. , juliej8@a... wrote: > about qigong sickness but if it made her sick, she shouldn't do it. Guest guest
Actually, Qi Gung Illness can induce many varied and complicated problems. Certainly chronic mental/emotional disorders are a major occurence w/ QGI, but I have also seen it induce visual problems, headaches, vague and moving muscle pains, gastrointestinal disturbances, immune and auto immune problems, something close to FMS/CFS, joint problems, sometimes even fairly serious, undiagnosable illness. Is improper Qi Gung practice the only factor in these illnesses? Probably not, but along with whatever other psychological and " pathogenic factors " are involved it can cause significant " internal damage " as well, depending on (of course) type of QG, the teacher, how practiced or mispracticed, how long, determined and persistant was the student in the wrong practice, etc.. Just one more complexity to be aware of in our " post modern world' eh?
