Guest guest
hello all, i was asked to briefly introduce myself so here i go... i'm an OMD as of 1989. my training was a combination of school and apprenticeship (under Dr. Sung Baek of the Dong Han school). I have been certified by NCCAOM as Dipl. Ac. I was referred to this site by my teacher and now colleague, James Ramholz, OMD, co-publisher of Oriental Medicine Journal. i have worked in a variety of settings, ranging from solo practice (in a State where i could have been prosecuted with felony charges for practicing medicine without a license) to working at American Whole Health, a very corporate entity which attempted to integrate MD's, DO's, DC's, OMD's, massage therapists, nutritionists, psychologists, etc. It failed miserably due to venture capital greed. But i thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to work with all sorts of medical practitioners of philosophies that included homeopathy, anthroposophy, osteopathy, chiropractic,Revicci's work, Yamamoto scalp acupuncture, cranial-sacral therapy, Zen Therapy, Reiki, Feldenkrais, flower essences, dark-field microscopy and Pleomorphic medicine, Functional medicine, and on and on... Case conferences were wonder-full-y eye-opening! i'm currently back in a private clinic practicing Oriental Medicine of the more Japanese and Korean styles (though I had to learn TCM to pass the Boards, i'm afraid i don't value this system very highly, except perhaps in the realm of herbology, which is why i have interest in this sight). My practice includes acupuncture, herbology, nutrition, shiatsu, Tui Na, Zen Therapy, Reiki, Qi Gong, Tai Qi, and related fields such as meditation and so on. ....my hope is to learn here. Health, Happiness, and Prosperity to all, luke
