Guest guest
Ok has anyone noticed correlations between basic lab tests and traditional TCM diagnostic methods? Most recently, I saw trace urobiligin on a urine dip stick in a man reporting mild pain in the liver area who had a wiry pulse in the liver position. No organic disease apparent, liver enzymes in lower half of normal on blod serum tests. Urobiligin should show on a urine test before bilirubin and may be the first sign of bile stagnation. -- Paul Bergner Editor, Medical Herbalism Clinical Program Director, Rocky Mountain Center for Botanical Studies
Guest guest
hello Paul, which Liver position, pulse wise? Is it at the head, middle or tail? is it high, middle, or deep? (I hate this font!) lab tests can be understood within Oriental medical terms if properly correlated. TCM is limiting, however. Is this pulse coming or going? Is it high at this yin position or is it deep? Nuance reflects the depth of the art. I commend your reflections! You are certainly asking the right questions. TY, luke PS I hate this font! did i mention that previously? , Paul Bergner <bergner@m...> wrote: > Ok has anyone noticed correlations between basic lab tests and traditional TCM > diagnostic methods?
