Guest guest
I took the part of this letter about FSLF and added some words. Feel free to copy or whatever. If you haven't seen this yet, I think the sample letter says it all. This is a great opportunity. Send it to your elected reps. Sample Letter: The Honorable xxxxxx US House of Representatives, Washington, DC 20515 Dear Representative xxxx: As a licensed acupuncturist, I wish to request that acupuncturists are added to the list of health care providers who are part of the Federal Student Loan Forgiveness program. Many acupuncturists would be well suited to this program. Acupuncturists are often inclined to serve the underprivileged and many are attracted to the rural areas that qualify FSLF programs. In most states, we are trained as independent care providers. While not being able to meet all primary health care needs, we are trained in both emergency techniques and to make appropriate referrals for conventional care. Poor people and those in rural areas also deserve the opportunity to be served with acupuncture, which is an inexpensive, safe form of healthcare. And the licensed acupuncturist may be able to play a vital role in supplementing the shortage of general practice physicians nationwide. Your support of this bill would enable licensed acupuncturists to practice in poor and rural areas and thus support fairness and the availability of cost-effective alternatives in the medical marketplace. In order to accomplish this, would you please co-sponsor HR 1890 to empower freedom of choice and socioeconomic fairness for health care access?
