Guest guest
Todd .. Maybe could set aside a little space on this site where practionaers can fill in the blanks - the info would have to be somewhat limited access - to keep those pesty IRS agents away. If the information entered, once entered would be statistically (not individually) displayed only - that would be reassuring to many practionors to be truthful about their profession. I would say key information would be 1. Still in business Full Time - Part Time. Have a real day job or not. Rather than Gross Income - Net Income Profit / Loss. 2. Type of education 3. years professionally licensed. 3. Main treatment method. If the schools submitted annual numbers of students entering / still in school / graduated (again confidential) and the state/national numbers were imputed than our profession would begin to have a statistical idea of where we are at. Guest guest
My concern is expulsion for academic failure. It is important to separate these numbers from those who voluntarily left school. If you include the latter group, it obscures the number who were actually failed. , " Robert L. Guest guest
Ed I could easily create such a database. All entries would be anonymous, so no one's personal information would be accesible, even to me. And only group members would have access. Even if IRS could ever justify seizing such a database, it wouldn't reveal anything to them. However, I would need help in ensuring the correct data was obtained. todd , " HappyHerbalist.com " < Health@H...> wrote: > Todd .. Guest guest
These stats are arrived through phone surveys of graduates. The following questions are used: 1. What percentage of your class mates are still in clinical practice? 2. What percentage of your class are in full time practice? 3. What percentage of your classmates are employed in related fields that are TOM Master degree dependent? (i.e.. teaching, herb companies, and integrated medical settings) Emperor's College is generating post graduate employment opportunities for graduates. July of 2000 we begin our first Postgraduate Clinical Research Fellowship, where we pay salaries to graduates for participating in stroke research in conjunction with USC and Daniel Freeman Memorial Hospital stroke treatment facilities. My recommendation is that we take this conversation off list since it is off topic for this forum. Will Morris Robert L. Guest guest
I would suggest to just let " whoever " submit a profile. Really keep it simple. The goal would to just gather as much as possible. A feasibility study. All statistical data gathered has +- error. Once the pool is large enough It could also be statistically adjusted. that would justify furthered resource commitment - or not) Hopefully it will gain momentum on its own. I suppose as an option you could ask for a email address that could be sold to stammers. (I get tons of it now anyway).
